Privacy policy

What we collect

• How to reach you: your name, mobile number, and email.
• Your idea: the style, size, placement, and budget you pick, what you type, and the reference photos and links you add.
• Your booking: the time you pick, its status, deposits and payments, and the messages we send you.
• What you agree to: when you tick that you are 18 or older, that you read the artist's policies, or that we may text you, we record the tick and the time.
• A form you start and don't finish: what you typed so far, so the artist can follow up. We delete it after [90] days.
• The usual technical bits: your browser, your IP address, and the pages you open, kept to run and protect the service. A few small cookies of our own remember what you have already seen or answered on a booking page (an event pop-up, the question before the first pick, a shop's service pick); they hold no name or contact.

Why we use it

To book your appointment, send you what that booking needs (a confirmation, a quote, a deposit link, reminders, and changes), let the artist review your idea and plan your session, keep the artist's client records, and keep the service safe and working. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it to advertise to you.

Who sees it

• The artist or shop you book with. They see everything you send them and keep it as their client record. How they use it after that is up to them and their own policies.
• The companies that help us run it, only as much as each one needs: text messages and email [Telnyx or Twilio; an email provider], payments [Stripe], calendars [Cronofy], and hosting. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
• The law, when we're required to, or to protect someone's safety.
• Tattware's own people, only when an artist asks for help with their account or we're checking it for abuse; every look is logged where the artist can see it.

Text messages

Ticking "Text me about this booking" lets us text you about that booking: the confirmation, reminders, and changes. It's optional; without it we email you. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. We never share your mobile number or your texting consent with anyone for their marketing.

Your choices

You can ask to see, fix, or delete what we hold about you by writing to [email protected]. The artist keeps their own record of your sessions; ask them too. We keep booking records while the artist's account is open and as long as the law asks after that.

Age

Booking a tattoo here is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
